MISSION
Black business owners have a lot to offer in the development of stronger, more resilient and
rapidly changing communities. Through collaboration, communication and co-ordinated
expertise we can begin to lay the foundations for a more sustainable financially secure
future. As the representative for the black business community, the BBWT will support our
vision through:
- Building partnerships between the black businesses in Croydon & across London
- Advocating on behalf of business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in terms of common interests
- Aiding the growth and development of small businesses through links to government and private funding, other resources, marketing and training opportunities
- Developing links with financial institutions, the wider business community, local authorities, the public and voluntary sectors and further and higher education establishments
- Helping businesses to become savvy by deploying future proof high-tech ideas that embrace efficient strategies for five, ten and twenty years ahead of emerging trends – strategies that will not only help business owners to make their products and services more visible, accessible and profitable, but also help to keep abreast of technological developments

To create a unique and diverse network of visionaries in Croydon and London who sit at the heart of the local business community. Working together we intend to help firms of all sizes
to achieve goals beyond those they could ever achieve alone. We believe it’s our
relationship with others and our common goals that will enable and ensure the black and
minority ethnic owned businesses raise their profile, allowing them to thrive as a
prosperous and interconnected community, providing inspiration for our young up and
coming entrepreneurs.
